Day 3

Weigh in: 125lbs

No pounds lost, but no pounds gained. Good deal.

Breakfast - 1/4 of a small watermelon juiced. Like my friend Wakako says. Watermelon juice is VERY tasty and VERY filling. It's a ton of water. I love it! I also ate a banana.

Lunch - Organic Tomato Soup from Cafe Briazz. I really love this soup. I get the 6 oz cup. It's pretty filling and VERY VERY yummy.

Snack - Yoplait Peach Yogurt

Dinner - Very tiny portion of rice, tiny bowl of dwenjang jjigae (Korean style miso soup) and some kimchi and pa kimchi (green onion kimchi).

I'm trying to learn portion control so I ate very little of each of these things and I was surprisingly full and satisfied. But my overall feeling for today was tired. Work was extremely busy. I really wanted to come home and if nothing else, just run on the tredmill for 30min or so. I was too tired to even do that. I ate, baked some stuff for my office and then studied korean for 45 min.

Day Two

Weigh in: 125lbs (2 pounds gone!)

Breakfast - 2 apples, 1 pear and 10 strawberries juiced. And I ate a banana.

Lunch - Organic Tomato Soup from Cafe Briazz. Glass of water.

Tonight I had the appointment at Abundant Health for my fat burning wrap. I sat in the sauna for 50 minutes and I didn't sweat a single drop. NOT A SINGLE DROP. Something is very weird about that. Then I went in for my wrap. They lather this gel all over you and then give you a very good upper back/shoulder/neck massage and a foot massage. The massage was heavenly. I didn't feel any lighter after the wrap though. Only really hungry since it was 8pm and I still hadn't had dinner.

I'm really ashamed to say this, but right after Eugy and I got our fat burning wraps, we went to eat shabushabu. Now I know shabushabu isn't the worst thing in the world to eat, but I know we couldn't have eaten healthier. We both had kobe beef shabushabu. I ate ALL of my veggies and I didn't eat any rice or noodles. The meal was really good.

I hope the fat gel will make me shed a pound or two.

Day 1

I decided that I will weigh myself every morning before jumping into the shower. I want to be able to track my progress and hopefully I can stick to weighing myself only once and not get obsessed with it.

DAY 1

Weigh in: 127lbs

Breakfast: 6 7-DFB pills. Chucky Strawberry Breakfast Cup from Jamba Juice. (It tastes pretty nasty...)

Lunch: 6 7-DFB pills. Panini Sandwich with zuccini, red bell pepper, spinach and fresh mozzarella that my co-worker made for me.

Snack: Strawberry frozen yogurt with no toppings from SoGreen.

Dinner: Very small bowl of mushroom soon dooboo and 1/2 of a bibimbap.

Snack: 1 apple, 1/2 cucumber, 3 strawberries - juiced.

Overall, my feeling was the same today. I can't tell any difference from the pills. They are detox pills which are suppose to just help to flush my system. Maybe it will take a few days for them to kick it, but it's only a 7 day program so I'm not sure. I did have a slight headache pretty much all day, but I thought maybe it was because I didn't have any caffiene. I'm going to give up caffiene during the 30 days to see if helps. This is going to be EXTREMELY hard since I love coffee and I work for a coffee company.

My future mother-in-law gave me and Eugy a juicer. It's a really nice one too. Immediately after leaving her house, Eugy and I went to Safeway and bought a bunch of fruit and veggies. Apples, carrots, watermelon, cucumber, celery, pears, strawberries and bell peppers. And we went to juicing last night. I'm going to carry juice with me every morning for my breakfast.

Goodbye Skinny NYC... Hello Tubby California...

Before moving to California to be with the man I love, I was living my dream life in NYC. I had a great job, huge apartment that I didn't have to sell my unborn first child to pay for and loving friends all around me. Most importantly, I was healthy, active and SKINNY. I never realized how much walking I was doing and how it affected my weight and level of energy. The cold hard truth has set in since moving to SF.

I left NYC weighing 107 lbs. Based on height/weight/age, the doctor recommends that I weigh between 95lbs and 105lbs. I know, I know... You are probably thinking that's way too small. But I am only 5'0". So 95lbs to 105lbs is actually a good weight for me. I have been here in SF for 8 months and I have gained over 30 lbs.

I'm no longer skinny, or even close to looking healthy. I lack basic energy and find myself wanting to go to bed around 8:30pm or 9pm. But most of all, I just don't feel good about myself anymore.

So my goal is to lose 20 lbs in 30 days and I started my new weight loss system today. Well, I kinda started yesterday with the workout and the veggies only dinner. But today I started taking these detox pills that will last for 7 days. It's almost all herbal with a few vitamins packed in there. I have to take 6 pills 30 minutes before breakfast and lunch, but nothing for dinner.

Thanks to my great, but super busy new job, I don't have much time to eat, so this is helping me to curb the amount of food I eat. And as long as I keep that to a healthy minimum, my dinner can be more creative.

So for the next month, I'll be documenting my weight loss. What I eat, how much I weigh, what I did and for how long at the gym and most importantly, how I'm feeling during all of this.

Let's the games begin.
